Responsible throughout the entire value chain

At Filou & Friends, we value responsible production with a focus on transparency, ecology and local production. We achieve this by working with the same production partners for years. All of them are companies that are specialists in their product and share the same values as us. Our production is mainly located in Tunisia, allowing us to transport everything by boat.

In addition, we also believe that if we want a more sustainable fashion industry, we cannot do it alone. That is why we also participate in research projects such as Infinitex, in which we look for solutions to common problems together with other players in the Belgian fashion industry. From this research group came, among other things, our decision to set up a pilot project around a digital product passport.

INFINITEX: Since 2023, we have proudly participated in the Infinitex initiative. This living lab by Vlaio is designed to support local fashion businesses to improve their resale, rental and repair offerings while committing to social and economic sustainability. Digital product passport: Transparency, traceability and authenticity are words that characterise our digital product passport. In March 2024, we launched our filou x giulia capsule collection. In it, for the first time at Filou, every garment was given a product passport in the form of a unique QR code in the sew-in label. Our digital product passport gives you full insight into your Filou garments. This passport reveals the full cycle of your garment, including the origin of the raw materials, quality control, transport, and other important details.
