Make your own carnival outfit!

Carnaval is just arround the conrer! Why buy a new costume every year when you can easily make one yourself? Choose a sustainable alternative this year and make your own knigh''s tunic with leftover fabrics. Pinky promise, this DIY is really very simple and ready in 20 minutes.

You will also need this:

  • Scissors
  • Marker
  • Craft glue
  • Iron (optional)

Step 1

Fold the large piece of fabric in half lengthwise and lay or iron the pattern of the tunic on it. Ironing is not necessary, but it will help the pattern stay in place better. Then with a marker, trace the shape of the neckline and the strips at the bottom onto your folded fabric.
Cut the shape of the neckline and the strips from the fabric.

Step 2

Take 1 of the 2 small pieces of leftover fabric. Lay the crown or shield pattern on this. Or lay another pattern on this that you would like. Draw the outline of the chosen template on the fabric and  cut it out. Glue the symbol with craft glue in the center on your tunic,  below the neckline, at hcest level.

You can also glue a pattern on both sides of the tunic.

Step 3

Put on your knight tunic and tie your belt around your waist. Now let the adventure really begin! Extra tip: make a sword in cardboard.
