Twinning in Tuscany is definitely winning
What was first in our suitcase when we were quietly preparing for our annual vacation in Tuscany? Right! Two sponge outfits from Filou & Friends! Our two boys belong to the famous category of "Duracell rabbit-children," and in other words are full of energy from morning to night. They can use that energy all the more on vacation, since we always choose vacation homes with (lots of) outdoor space... If you go to Italy, Agriturismos are highly recommended! You end up in the yard of an agricultural estate, taste delicious local products, and the kids have lots of space to romp! And what else do you need? Blessed play clothes in which the kids can move around. The fact that the new summer collection of Filou and Friends is full of bright colors is a bonus! We chose cheerful yellow sponge sets (shorts and polo shirts) for our boys, and because we liked them so much, the boys both got the same set... Has to be possible right! Since both of them are dinofans, we also took two playful dino sets with us in our suitcase, but.... the Tuscan sun made those superfluous this year (we're not complaining at all!).😉).
What a quiet vacation day looked like for us this year:
Got up and immediately went to play on the toy tractor (big brother Matteo was so sweet to push little brother Raffaello all the time... Raffaello of course didn't reach the pedals yet!)
During the morning, mom and babbo had a visit from friends (yep, babbo came to live in Belgium only three years ago...so Tuscany for us is both vacation and family and friends visit!). And what did Matteo and Raffaello get up to? With their play-dinos, of course. Lots of space on a wine estate to go and hide those play animals 😉 (Mom and babbo took over an hour that night to find them all again, thanks guys!).
At noon, we went into the center of Arezzo for a moment to eat a "spicchio di pizza" (that is a large piece of pizza) in a shady alley in a "pizzeria al taglio"... Buonissimo!
In the afternoon it was time to get some sleep (for Raffaello) and we enjoyed some quality time together at the family home.Our quiet day ended again at the agriturismo, where we enjoyed the evening sunshine among the olive trees. Matteo and Raffaello went there to pick flowers to dry (highly recommended Tuscany in April...everything is not yet withered by the bright sun then, and nature is all the more beautiful!).
Another kiss goodnight to little brother and then it was time for bath and bed! Buonanotte bella Toscana!
