5 questions to Mieke and Sofie from Filou & Friends Ghent
Filou & Friends Ghent exists 20 years this year and we won't let that go by unnoticed. For this festive occasion we asked 5 questions to saleswomen Mieke & Sofie. Curious about what they have to say? Then be sure to read on!
1. Please introduce yourselves
Mieke: “I am Mieke myself also mom of 1 son Emile and 1 daughter Odile . And owner of our sweet dog Oscar.”
Sofie: “I am Sofie, married and mom of 2 daughters Lise and Margot. I love traveling, music, reading, hiking and biking.”
2. What is the best moment you have experienced in the store so far?
Mieke: “Children tell a lot while they are trying on clothes . So then recently I was invited to a birthday party 🎉 Thought this was so sweet!”
Sofie: “There are several of those too but I really liked the ‘Braderie Publique’ where we were outside with our Forever collection at the time! Despite the lesser weather, it was still a great success!”
3. What is your favorite piece from the new fall collection?
Mieke: “My favorite piece is the pull feather, wonderfully soft . The kids love it too. Really a cuddly pull ❣️en we also have it in different colors.
Sofie: “Let me say in advance that several pieces are my favorite 😉 Yet 1: The bodywarmer teddy green. Because the colors flatter all children, both boys and girls. An absolute “ must have ” during fall and spring.”
4. What do you enjoy most about the job?
Mieke: “I enjoy really connecting with the little ones and their parents .”
Sofie: “The best thing about my job is that I get to work with enthusiast children and their parents. That I get to do that in a pleasant store with nice colleagues.”
5. Sinds 5 april zitten jullie op een nieuwe locatie in een gloednieuw winkelconcept. Wat maakt de nieuwe winkel zo bijzonder volgens jou?
"Het is een toplocatie die de zichtbaarheid en toegankelijkheid vergroot, vlakbij het bruisende Van Bunnenplein. De mooie zachte kleuren geven een rustgevend zeegevoel, het is een vernieuwend concept, heel hip en trendy wat uitnodigt om binnen te komen."
5. Tell us each a fun fact about yourself
Mieke: “I used to be in the Waregem store, but now for a good year in Ghent for which I am grateful! Love my job!”
Sofie: “When my daughters were smaller, I used to be a customer at Filou & Friends Ghent myself. I was very sorry when my daughters grew out of it. It was my husband who spotted the job offer and I didn't hesitate for a second! The rest is history 😘”
