5 questions for Dominique from Filou & Friends Brugge

1. Who is Dominique?
"I am Dominique, store manager of Filou & Friends Brugge. The store exists 20 years this year, but I myself have been selling Filou clothes since 1996. Many of the girls and boys I dressed in my early years are now mothers and fathers themselves and come to us with their offspring. I really like that. We recently moved to our new location on Noordzand Street, the beginning of a new adventure for me!"
2. What moment will you never forget?
"During a shopping weekend several years ago, we had the mascots visit. It amazed me how popular those mascots were. The look of the little kids looking at the big puppets full of admiration has stayed with me."
3. What is your favorite piece from the collection?
"For the boys, I love the multicolored plaid lumberjack shirt; in the girls' collection, the pink matelassé dress is currently my favorite. It's a nice and simple dress in a soft fabric."
4. What's the best part of the job?
"The fun part of my job is the contact with the kids and of course with the moms. It gives me great satisfaction to advise the moms in choosing outfits for their Filouts and I love the spontaneity of the kids. Creating combinations is also really my thing."
5. Tell us a fun trivia
"What might be fun fact is the fact that my eldest daughter also works at Filou (at the head office). The love for children's fashion has been instilled in her; she grew up with Filou and I am delighted to see how enthusiastically she is now also involved with Filou."
